Siragusa Family Foundation Names New Executive Director
The board of directors of the Siragusa Family Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of John E. Hicks, Jr. as its next executive director, effective March 2017. Hicks, a third generation family member of founder Ross D. Siragusa, has served on the board of the foundation since 1992, the last six years as chair of the board. Leading through generational leadership changes and streamlining the foundation's grantmaking, he will transition from his board role to guide the foundation through its next stage as executive director. Paying Tribute to Board Member Melvyn H. Schneider (1939-2016)
The Siragusa family is deeply saddened to share the loss of friend, advisor and long-time foundation board member Melvyn H. Schneider, who passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, October 17, 2016 at the age of 77. Colleagues, friends and family remember Mel as an energetic, patient and thoughtful person, with an admirable sense of humor and diplomacy, and a wonderful penchant for story-telling.
