The Siragusa Family Foundation is working to align its grantmaking around its mission, vision and values while assessing community needs. As a result of this process, we believe the most effective way for the foundation to utilize its resources is to continue our focus on maintaining support for current grantees. However if the foundation’s situation changes in any way, we will update our website with relevant information.

The Siragusa family is deeply saddened to share the loss of friend, advisor and long-time foundation board member Melvyn H. Schneider, who passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, October 17, 2016 at the age of 77. Colleagues, friends and family remember Mel as an energetic, patient and thoughtful person, with an admirable sense of humor and diplomacy, and a wonderful penchant for story-telling. He has passed on a remarkable legacy and will be deeply missed.
